Interest-free windows sound too good to be true, but they're a standard product from most UK window companies. The key is understanding what's included and what happens if you don't pay on time.
A typical interest-free deal is 0% APR over 24 months. For a £6,000 window installation, that's £250 per month. No interest, no fees if you pay on time. The lender makes money from the retailer (us), not from you — we pay a fee to offer the finance.
Longer-term finance — 36, 60 or 120 months — carries a representative APR, typically 9.9–14.9%. The monthly payment is lower but you pay interest over the term. For a £6,000 job over 60 months at 10.9% APR, the monthly payment is around £128 — total repayment £7,680.
Check the early repayment terms carefully. Some lenders charge a penalty if you settle early; others don't. If you can pay off the loan before the term ends, you should be able to do so without extra cost.
Finally, finance is subject to status. Not everyone will be approved, and the rate offered may differ from the representative rate. A soft credit check is usually done first to confirm eligibility — this doesn't affect your credit score.
